Peter Baker is currently Senior Vice President Underground Operations responsible for Peabody Energy’s underground mines in Queensland and New South Wales including oversight of safety, production, asset management, projects, engineering and environmental activities.
Peter joined Peabody in November 2009 as General Manager of the Metropolitan operations and was then appointed to the position of General Manager of Wambo in September 2011.
Prior to joining Peabody, Peter was Operations Manager at Tahmoor Colliery for Xstrata Coal and also held a global Safety Manager’s role during his time at Xstrata Coal. Peter has also been Manager of the Southern Mines Rescue Station in Wollongong where he was involved in emergency management and emergency response.

Glen was born and educated in the UK, where he commenced his mining career which spans more than 40 years. Glen has experience in both Operational and Management roles and is currently the Executive Head of Underground Operations for Anglo American’s Metallurgical Coal business, where he oversees underground operations at the company’s award-winning Moranbah North, Grosvenor and Grasstree mines.

Peter Tait has 30 years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant in public practice in various areas including audit, taxation, accounting and business advisory. Before his retirement from Chartered Accountancy public practice at SH Tait & Co in 2016, Peter had 14 years of providing accounting and taxation services to QMRS.
He holds several other board directorships, company secretarial and management committee roles in government owned corporations and not-for-profit entities in Central Queensland area.
