Technology Advancement

The QMRS has advanced the Mines Rescue Vehicle with the project management team at Simtars to the point of testing and prototype stage. The vehicle is promising a significant opportunity for the coal industry and QMRS has been pleased to be part of this major advancement.

QMRS has supported the SIMTARS acquisition of the technologically advanced robot for the opportunity to search out areas and environments where it is necessary to establish conditions for critical decisions in the recovery or search of personnel. The coal industry in Queensland is reaching for leading edge technology for the advancement in how we do business. The State Manager for QMRS, Mr Wayne Hartley said, " We need to stay in front of the opportunities for the safety of our miners, and we are happy to be part of it".
