GAG Seminar - 2007

GAG SEMINAR 2007 - WINDMILL MOTEL - DECEMBER 2007 - A WONDERFUL SUCCESS!

On Wednesday the 6th December and Thursday the 07th of December almost 80 people gathered for the annual Inertisation Seminar - The title this year being "Fires Underground" It was fortuitous that the seminar was held on International Miners Day!

QMRS was proud to have been able to secure the services of some very special speakers:
Mr John Brady, Mr Chris Glazbrook,Mr Ron McKenna,Mr Paul Cuddihy,Mr John Blyton,Mr Col Sealy, with special pieces by MrCole Klease and Mr Clive Russell

These gentlemen overwhelmed members and attendees with their courage by speaking about the dramatic events as they unfolded at Box Hill, Kianga Mine, and Moura No 4.

QMRS was humbled by their stories and we are sure that new members will have gained quite alot from them sharing their individual stories - Thank You Brave Gentlemen!

On the 2nd day we welcomed David Cliff from MISHC who delivered a great presentation on the sealing of Newstan Colliery and problems that they had to overcome
